Solving The Problem

In my last post I talked about how many states do not require businesses to offer paid sick leave to their employees. I feel there is no perfect solution to this problem since it is a very controversial issue. Instead of passing some form of legislation stating that business should offer paid sick leave, I think implementing a health program would be less controversial and more successful. This program would be a service offered by a company to come in and teach classes about how to keep the workplace clean and ways to avoid the spread of germs. This is less controversial than passing a piece of legislation because the company has the option to buy the company’s services if they wish to improve upon their cleanliness in a workplace. This service could also include a medical professional that can be hired by companies to come in on regular visits to provide medical attention to employees at reduced rates.
