14A – Halfway Reflection

I have always had an issue with keeping up with assignment deadlines, so I made it my goal to do assignments ahead of time. Typically, when I am on campus and waiting in between classes or going to work I write my blogs. This is more productive because I know when I get home I am going to slack off or focus on other classes (like my finance course). I remember when I had my first round of exams this semester I was very swamped with work. A lot of my classes typically have deadlines on Fridays and Sundays. When I was studying, I was debating on whether I should write my blog post for the week. In the end, I just pushed through it because I know at the end of the semester it would be worth it when I get the A. 30A – Final Reflection

The experience that sticks out most to be is the entire class to be honest. Throughout the whole semester I had to think critically about what I wanted to do for a business. I went through all sorts of thoughts processes in order to come up with a company that could hit the market now. I am also proud that I was able to do all of the assignments on time and correctly to receive full points. I think I have an entrepreneurial mindset after taking this class. I try ever day to think outside of the box and figure out ways to improve tasks. This has gone into my actual job on campus as well. I try to figure out ways to make the IT department more efficient. The main thing I would recommend for students who take this class is to take it seriously and do the work. Economic: Shortage of graphics cards around the globe. While researching graphics cards for my PC build, I noticed a lot of high end ones are hard to come by. The prototypical customer would be either a heavy PC gamer or businesses who require high end computational power. Recently there has been a shortage of high end graphics cards due to the rise of cryptocurrency mining. Cryptocurrency is essentially a digital currency. It uses encryption methods in order to regulate the generating of units of currency and the verification of the transferring of funds among different individuals. When mining cryptocurrency, it requires a lot computational powers. This means to be the most effective when it comes to mining people tend to buy high end graphics cards, which is the reason why there is such a shortage.
